FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is paint protection film?
Paint protection film is a transparent or finished urethane film applied to painted surfaces to help protect against road debris, minor abrasions, stains, weathering, and everyday wear.
What is UVRA PPF made from?
UVRA Clear and Matte films use an aliphatic TPU protective layer, a functional self-healing polyurethane surface, a modified acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive, and a silicone-treated PET release liner.
Is UVRA PPF scratch-proof?
No film is scratch-proof. UVRA helps resist everyday wear, and its surface can recover from minor superficial marks with heat. Deep cuts, punctures, and damage through the film require repair or replacement.
Will PPF stop every rock chip?
No. PPF can absorb and reduce damage from many everyday impacts, but impact angle, speed, debris size, film coverage, and other conditions affect the outcome.
How should PPF be installed?
UVRA PPF is designed for professional wet installation. Proper preparation, solution control, positioning, stretch management, edge treatment, and curing affect appearance and durability.
Can PPF be removed?
Professional removal is recommended. Paint condition, repaint history, age, environment, and removal technique can affect the substrate.
Does UVRA offer a warranty?
Qualifying Clear and Matte products and installations are intended for 10-year limited coverage against specified defects, subject to registration and complete warranty terms.
